1 Adult Team Manager + 2 to 7 Team Members = Destination Imagination Team

The following are the age/grade requirements for 2017-18 Destination Imagination teams:

  • EARLY LEARNING: Preschool-2nd Grade
  • ELEMENTARY LEVEL (EL): Kindergarten-5th Grade or no student born before June 15, 2006
  • MIDDLE LEVEL (ML): 6th-8th Grade or no student born before June 15, 2003
  • SECONDARY LEVEL (SL): 9th-12th Grade or no student born before June 15, 1999
  • COLLEGE & UNIVERSITY LEVEL: Full-time, post-secondary students enrolled in college, university, trade, or technical school or in the military. College-bound high school seniors who are taking accredited courses offered by a college or university that will qualify for course credit when entering higher education
  • Single-Team (digital)
    $105 per team
    • 2-7 members
    • 1 Team Number
    • 1 Challenge
    • Rules of the Road & Roadmap
    • Kindergarten-University
  • Single-Team (early learners)
    $105 per team
    • 2 or more members
    • 1 Team Number

Your team will develop a Challenge solution.  You will use the following resources to help successfully solve your challenge and prepare for Tournament Day.

  • The Rules of the Road guide provides important rules
  • The Roadmap guide provides activities and Instant Challenges, and helps your team navigate Tournament Day.
  • The Central Challenge document will give you details on the expectations of your specific challenge
  • The Published Clarifications are provided by the International Challenge Masters for each challenge.

Once teams have their Team Number, they will need to head over to Register.WisconsinDI.org to sign their team up for their regional tournament.  If you need assistance completing this step, please reach out to your Regional Director.

NOTICE: Teams will NOT be placed on the tournament schedule until the team is completely registered on the website.

Check out our Events calendar for a full listing of when the Regional and Affiliate tournaments are for the 2017-18 program year.  Please note – tournaments are expected to be earlier than in previous years.  Plan ahead!
