The Destination ImagiNation Program Overview

Educational Goals of the Program Destination ImagiNation is a community-based, schoolfriendly program that builds participants' creativity, problem solving, and teamwork in enjoyable and meaningful ways. The goals of Destination ImagiNation are for participants to:

Foster creative and critical thinking
Learn and apply Creative Problem Solving method and tools
Develop teamwork, collaboration, and leadership skills
Nurture research and inquiry skills, involving both creative exploration and attention to detail
Enhance and apply written and verbal communication and presentation skills (both impromptu and sustained)
Promote the recognition, use, and development of many and varied strengths and talents
Encourage competence in, enthusiasm for, and commitment to real-life problem solving

Who's Who? Officers on the NEW WIDI Board

Nominating and electing Officers for the new WIDI Board of Directors was a surprisingly easy task given the experience, expertise, talent, and passion of the committed DI veterans that are willing to serve our top-performing DI programs. Our Wisconsin Affiliate is fortunate to be able to tap into leaders who always think of our children first. You've seen these folks in DI leadership and volunteer roles throughout Wisconsin for years.

The next time you see these committed volunteers, please extend a hearty congratulations and thanks to each of them.

Carol is the South Central RD, WI State Tournament Director, and Global Appraiser.
Treasurer: Dave Valentine
Dave is the Baylake RD and has served in many State-level Appraiser roles.
Secretary: Crissy Buhr
Alumni Representative: Crissy Buhr
Crissy has been added to the WIDI board highlighting the importance and activity of our alumni in future program planning.
The balance of the WIDI board is made up of one Regional Director and one "at large" member from each Region in Wisconsin.
